Learn to read the symbol, price, time and scale of a chart.

What is a Timeframe?

On 1h, one candle covers one hour. On 4h, it covers four hours. On 1D, it covers one trading day. The total time shown on the chart and the time of one candle are different things.

AN EXAMPLE

Switch between 1h and 4h below. Four 1h candles combine into one 4h candle. It is the same data; only the scale of detail is different.
