Swing and position trading
In swing trading, trades are usually held for a few days up to a few weeks. Position trading is longer, from weeks to months. The boundaries of these labels are not fixed. There is a risk from overnight news and price gaps.
AN EXAMPLE
If you have no time to watch charts all day, second-by-second decisions may not be practical. But swing trading is not safe by itself either.
