Spot an Uptrend, a Downtrend and Sideways on a chart.

Sideways, or a Range

When price moves around one area without clear upward or downward progress, it is called Sideways. You do not need to force a trend onto every chart.

AN EXAMPLE

Price kept moving between 100 and 112. Look at Sideways; price can also leave this range.

RememberIf it is not clear, “unclear” is the right answer.
